My practice is located just on the edge of the Capitol Hill district of Seattle; just down the street from Seattle University. A little bit about me: I am a recent graduate of Seattle University’s master’s of mental health counseling program. Prior to this, I received a bachelors of arts for psychology at the University of Washington. The counseling theories I employ are a mix between the CBT/REBT, Gestalt, Narrative, and Solutions-Focused schools of thought. I have had experience working in the community mental health field. There, I worked with individuals with depression, PTSD, stress issues, personality disorders, and bipolar disorder. I have a particular interest in issues of diversity and how it interacts with our mental health. My definition of diversity may be a bit broader than the one you are typically used to in that I am interested in not only racial differences, but also cultural and experiential differences. I truly believe that each and every one of use are unique individuals, and it is my goal to foster your individuality in order to promote a satisfying and joyful life. To me, trust, safety, and openness are paramount to a successful counseling relationship. When working with me, I can assure you that I will be honest and caring; to work with you and share in your life’s burdens so that the journey to your goals can be met.
