Coming Out Group for Women
This group is for women identifying as lesbians (publicly or privately) who are also "coming out" of conservative religious backgrounds.  Coming out is, and should be, an exciting time.  However, when you face the loss of support from family and friends, and maybe even question your faith, it can feel like your foundation is crumbling.  This group is designed to be a safe place to explore the questions, the loss, and the joy of coming out with other women on the journey.
 
When: Sundays, February 8 - March 29, 2009  6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
Fee: $375/8-week group (Group is limited to eight women)

ASSERTIVENESS TRAINING: Self Esteem from the Inside Out
Assertiveness training that identifies and strengthens CORE and SITUATIONAL self esteem.  Facilitated by Alexandra Wright, LMFT
 
When: Starts October 2, 2008 8 weekly sessions Thursday 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Fee: $ 50 per session, $ 400 for the series (recommended)

CoMamas: Support for ex-wives, stepmothers and their partners
End the Struggle! CoMamas addresses the unique and often adversarial relationship between ex-wives and stepmothers.  In this 6-week informational support group you will learn how to manage interpersonal conflicts within this relationship and co-parent in a healthy and respectful way.  Addressing issues such as: What can I do about our different parenting styles?  Is there a way to get her to stop badmouthing me?  How can I make her understand what her role is?  Don't miss this opportunity to improve your life and the lives of your (step)children.  Come alone or with your spouse/partner.

Women's Transitions Group
Do you need to make changes in your life? Are you overwhelmed by the choices ahead?  Are you running in place instead of moving forward?  This Group will provide you with the tools to map the path ahead.  Understand your unique life story so you can write the next chapter of your life.  Explore fears, hopes and dreams within the safety of a supportive group.  Confront blocks and self-defeating behaviors that are keeping you stuck.  Gather support, encouragement, resources to take the risks you need to take.  Commit to achievable goals that will get you to the next stage

Navigating Young Adulthood
This is a supportive and interactive therapy group for adults in their mid 20's to mid 30's who are struggling to find their identity and develop healthy relationships.  Clients will learn to genuinely voice their moment by moment experience so that they may cultivate personal authenticity and intimacy in their relationships
 
When: Wednesday evenings 7-8:30pm, 8-week commitment required

Putting the Past Behind:
  for women who've experienced sexual abuse in childhood.

Mind-Body Psychotherapy Group For Women
Weekly therapy group for 3-4 women healing from body related trauma or transition (sexual or physical trauma, illness, Negative body image, eating disorders). Nonverbal (mind-body & creative arts therapies) and verbal therapy integrated.  Facilitated by registered dance/movement therapist, certified yoga teacher and licensed psychotherapist.  A safe space and an opportunity to heal psyche, body and soul will be respectfully and sacredly held.  
 
When: Tuesdays 12:30-2:00

Relationship Group for Men & Women
In this supportive group, you will have the opportunity to learn how other people perceive you and how your actions may push people away or draw people closer to you.  In addition, you will be able to experientially work on improving your social skills and intimacy in relationships.  
 
When: Monday evenings from 5:30-7:00pm in the Greenlake area or Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm in the Greenlake area.

Group members will explore interpersonal relationships, family patterns and individual dreams. Weekly Men's Group
